 IMPROVING THE BUSINESS OF EVERY LGBT ENTERPRISE The mission of the NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is to foster economic development opportunities for LGBT businesses in the Bronx & in NYC. It is our hope to increase the visibility and strengthen the place of LGBT in business in the global economy, starting with our borough. We are committed to providing the necessary information and resources to our community in order to ensure their success and endurance, while assisting in removing barriers and creating new opportunities for minority businesses. Historically known for its predominant LGBT population, the dynamics of the Bronx & in NYC are undeniably changing as our community is preparing for rapid growth and development. This phenomenon is especially present in the LGBT business community as alliances are being forged and barriers removed. We intend to partner and work with government, corporate and small businesses, individuals, and organizations in order to assist in bringing about further development and opportunities that will assist LGBT businesses in being a viable competitor in the global market. Rev. Carmen is most commonly known for making something out of nothing. She is currently the President/Founder of the 1st NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Inc., as well as, one of the original Founders President/Chairperson of Warrior4Luv Productions, Inc., an online music store as well as an online booking and Promotion Company. Rev. Carmen, since 1993, she won so many award for her hard work and community services, she was Honor Mentioned and awarded the Groundbreaker Latina Leader award in the United States in 2006 by Catalina Magazine. On April 22nd Rev Carmen, won the NY State Regional & International Small Business Administration, “SBA” Award. Rev Carmen was awarded the Rising Stars Awarding Winners for 2009 by the Department of Labor – Latino Job Service Employer Committee GALA. On Oct 27, 2009, NYC Council Speaker Christine Quinn, honor Rev Carmen at national clergy appreciation month reception. On Oct 29, Comité Noviembre, CN, has awarded Rev Carmen with the 2009 CN “Lo Mejor de Nuestra Comunidad” Award. She also is going to be awarded in December 5, 2009 as the Our Youth's Hispanic GLBT Activist of the Year for her commitment and continuous Support for Our Youth is truly amazing she is a hard worker. Her commitment not only with Our Youth but within the GLBT community and the Hispanic Community is truly commendable. Her never say die attitude and her love to give back is truly remarkable.
