Connextions Magazine had the pleasure of staying at the Ale House Inn, back in 2011. After a wonderful visit to the Portsmouth, NH area, we documented the highlights in Connextions Magazine, Issue 2. We have just learned that Ale House Inn Owners Doug & Dan have sold the property. Read their letter below to learn what's next for Doug and Dan, as well as what will happen to the Ale House Inn.
Dear friends, guests and neighbors,
It is with great enthusiasm we announce the Lark Hotels as the new owner/operator of the Ale House Inn. After establishing the inn five years ago, we are pleased to pass the torch on to this established brand of boutique properties in New England's most iconic destinations. With a focus on accessible design and modern amenities, Lark Hotels embrace the locations they are in - but in playful, unexpected ways. The look and vibe of the Ale House Inn will fit right in with this dynamic group of properties. We are more than confident that the Lark Hotels will continue to offer the level of service and hospitality that we have provided since 2008. For more information on Lark Hotels, please visit:
What's next for us you might be asking? 2014 will bring many new opportunities for both of us. This coming spring we will be opening downtown Portsmouth's first full service, independently owned boutique hotel, The Hotel Portsmouth. If you would like more details and to be kept in the loop on this exciting project, please visit and sign up at: www.thehotelportsmouth.com
Secondly, Dan has announced his candidacy for US Congress in NH's 1st congressional district. In what will likely be one of 2014's most highly contested races, Dan is excited about moving the country forward as a representative of the people and values of New Hampshire. It has been our pleasure to serve you as our guest over the past five years. Your support, recommendations, and feedback have enabled us to build the Ale House Inn into what it is today. With Lark Hotels now at the helm, you are in good hands.
With Warm Regards,
Doug Palardy & Daniel Innis
