Carmen Hernandez-DeArmas receives Lesbian of the Year Award from Puerto Rican Initiative to Develop Empowerment

The Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Initiative to Develop Empowerment; (PRIDE) have selected Carmen Hernandez-DeArmas as one of PRIDES recipients, she will be honored this year at the PRIDE Awards for the Lesbian of the Year category. 

This award celebrates the great leaders in our community, their tireless efforts, dedication, commitment and their true representation of our community.  RevCarmen is President of the NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Church of the Holy Apostles located at 296 Ninth Avenue, corner of 28th Street in the heart of Chelsea in New York City from 6pm to 12am.  Featuring Comida Criolla (real Latino Cuisine), Award Ceremony, Performances, Dinner, Dancing and a cash bar. 

The annual PRIDE Awards is always one of the major Latino LGBT Support Events of the year, and will also honor Hispanic Heritage month.
