New York Travel Festival

Do you love to travel? When you have extra cash, do you put it to the side for the next crazy trip you can do? If so, you’ll find a lot of people like yourself at NY Trav Fest. We have a full week of panels, speakers, and experiences that are designed for people who love to explore their world.
Taste food and drink from NYC and beyond, hear inspirational speakers, watch panels that cover destinations and experiences you didn’t know about, learn about new companies from across the world of travel, and connect with other folks who love travel as much as you do. Tickets for the 5th annual New York Travel Festival ( #NYTF ) are now on sale! Taking place from April 20 to 23, 2017, at several locations in Manhattan, the festival is a series of events for people whose lives are touched by travel: members of the travel industry, travel media, lifelong travelers, long-term travelers, college students, and people in career transition. The festival provides attendees with the opportunity to participate in workshops, network with industry professionals, and attend panel discussions and presentations about trending topics in travel. NY Trav Fest is partnering with NYU Tisch Center to host the Borough Tourism Summit on Thursday, April 20, and the 3rd annual Travel Unity Summit, at NYU Woolworth Building (15 Barclay Street) on Friday, April 21. Saturday and Sunday of NY Trav Fest will take place at Bohemian National Hall (321 East 3rd Street) and Hostelling International NYC (891 Amsterdam Avenue), respectively. Doors are open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday through Saturday, with registration beginning at 9:00 AM; Sunday starts one hour later (at 11:00 AM). THURSDAY, APRIL 20 Borough Tourism Summit NYU Woolworth Building – 15 Barclay St. Sessions focused on how to make sure all of New York City benefits from tourism. Most appropriate for: NYC businesses related to tourism, investors, those interested in learning about the trajectory of tourism in NYC boroughs. More info on Thursday’s schedule here. FRIDAY, APRIL 21 3rd Annual Travel Unity Summit NYU Woolworth Building – 15 Barclay St. A day focused on how to increase diversity in the world of travel, in partnership with Travel Unity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Most appropriate for: organizations looking to attract new demographics, individuals and entities focused on economic development, and those with a passion for social justice. SATURDAY, APRIL 22 Festival Saturday Bohemian National Hall – 321 E. 73rd St. A day full of networking, tastings, thinktanks, roundtables, and other events to whet your intellectual, social, and gastronomical appetites. SUNDAY, APRIL 23 Festival Sunday Hostelling International-NYC – 891 Amsterdam Ave. A day full of networking, inspirational speakers, and sessions focused on career-seeking in travel, content creation, and long-term travel. Most appropriate for: anyone who wants to connect with other travelers and/or travel professionals, get advice on careers in travel or long-term travel, and those who take content creation seriously. The panels, speakers, and workshops provide professional development opportunities for those in the travel industry, or wanting to join it, as well as inspirational talks to offer ideas about an array of destinations and types of travel.
