CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GOOD FRIEND FRANK MCGOWAN!

Michelle Martin and Frank McGowan of Glasgow's proudly gay owned and operated Bad Pony Media Ltd/Bad Pony Television will be announced today as one of the Future 100 Young Social Entrepreneurs of the Year 2011.

Be kind and please be sure to congratulate them here: https://www.facebook.com/badponymedialtd?sk=wall

Bad Pony Media's Executive Producer/Creative Director Frank McGowan, said: "We're so excited to be named as one of the Future 100. We've already had masses of emails from supporters on Facebook, and a huge number of business collaborators have approached us for some very exciting things in 2012. We're really keen to show the world what Scotland has to offer, and are looking forward to the launch of Bad Pony TV."

Bad Pony TV is set to be Scotland's new dedicated homegrown channel, launching in 2012 with new thought provoking shows and interactive entertainment across all genres - set to broadcast online, on demand and via mobile/interactive television. The channel will see a plethora of interactive features and live roadshow that is set to engage audiences of all ages, from both at home and around the world, for free.

"This is an excellent opportunity for new talent," says Michelle Martin, MD of Bad Pony Media. "We have some exciting new shows for audiences, everything from series drama and factual, to children's shows and music, all produced in Scotland - but no haggis, neeps and totties."

First launched in  2008, 'The Future 100 Awards' encourage and reward extraordinary vision, ethical business practice and social responsibility of young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 who demonstrate entrepreneurial flair and innovation in presenting an outstanding business model operating a triple bottom line addressing "people, planet and profit" with a strong economical, commercial and comment impact.

The event is organised by business and social enterprise support agency 'Striding Out', who are committed to supporting the development and growth of young ethical entrepreneurs.

Founder of Striding Out and curator of the Future 100 event, Heather Wilkinson said: "The future of our world is in the hands of individuals who are committed to generating commercial and ethical returns.  Challenging economic times can offer opportunities to question the way we operate as both a business community and a society. We have a history of  profiling the 'Future 100' young entrepreneurs who are changing the face of everyday business and improving commerce's impact on the wider world."

Bad Pony TV is set to launch in mid-2012, with production of shows including sophisticated urban LGBT drama NINETY EIGHT PERCENT, magazine dating show ALL DOLLED UP and children's series TELL ME A STORY set for the New Year.
