Below is an email I received by someone who will remain anonymous. As Editor-in-Chief, I try to avoid confrontation when it comes to discussions about religion... but I would LOVE to hear any comments from our LGBT community: Shelly, Thank you for reaching out to me concerning your magazine and its mission. You are correct that we are all human beings with needs, feelings and value. We are the crowning aspect of God's creation. We love, cry, feel pain, have needs and expectations. We are more alike than we are different. This is our humanity. However, we have been created by a holy God who has expectations and guidelines that keep us secure, thriving and whole. These Godly standards when willingly broken cannot protect us as they have been designed to do. The life of family has a biblical standard that has been instituted by God which we cannot change no matter how we disagree with them. Please read Genesis 2:19-25. Whether you believe the authenticity of the biblical scriptures or not, we cannot deny that it's undeniable impact legitimizes our cultural standards. And when this biblical foundation is compromised, then the result is havoc, confusion, dis-ease, and chaos. I cannot support your magazine's view because it is totally contrary to the biblical mandate of husband (man) and wife (woman) union that comprises marriage. Anything outside of this union is against the institution set up by God. When we set up our own ideas as supreme without considering the Laws of the Universe established by a Holy God, then we become responsible for the fallout of our own disobedience to God. No great idea, lust or fantasy can take the place of what God has created and called the best! I'm not ignorant of your reasons for your wanting people to understand your lifestyle. We all want to be accepted in this world. However, I would rather be pleasing to the Creator God than to be approved by mankind. My hope and prayer is that you will have an authentic Epiphany of who you are through the love and power of Jesus Christ your Redeemer and Healer. And that He will be revealed to you! Blessings!

I agree with the post. The sanctity of marriage need to be upheld at all times.Any lifestyle that we choose to take should be determined by the morality described by God.Sometimes its very hard to uphold these devine guidelines and most of the time we fall prey to our physical nature.Despite our nature, feelings and desires, we should strive at all times to do as the lord expect from us.No temtation will come to us that we cant overcome for God will always raise the standard for us to escape.
