 All inspiring bakers who are not professional pastry chefs are invited to enter the first annual Decadent Cupcake Competition Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Hilton Burlington, Vermont The competition is part of the Norther Decadence Food Festival, Art Show and Travel Expo. Contestants must be non-professional, student or not previously employed in a baking or culinary capacity. Each contestant will be asked to produce nine cupcakes that will be used for both judging and for display to the public. Edible decorations are required. No plastic or inedible decorations will be allowed. Top three winners will win cash and prizes. "Decadent Cupcake" in this context may mean: creative, over-the-top, rich, extraordinary, artistic, or with a "wow" factor. Contest Guidelines are available at NorthernDecadence.com.
